Well, again a pause longer than I had expected (9 days)...but hey! I am not the one to blame! The draft on which I had been working on for a week got trashed accidentally... Never mind. I will do that one later now. Well, I decided that I would just blog about random things that would pop-up in my mind. It will work as an excuse for irregular frequency and maybe some not-so-well posts ☺
So the one thing that has been bothering me most for the past few weeks... My inability to allow my laptop to shut down at its scheduled time (because it happens to be a MacBookPro and also because of my fast-flowing stream of consciousness). It all started last semester. It was all going well with it, and then one day I started watching How I Met Your Mother (about 2 weeks before the mountainous end-semester exams). Now, all those of you who have seen it can think of how badly I would have screwed up the exams eventually... For others, that's all I used to do until I came up to date; insofar as finally I had to finish it off after I had screwed 2 exams; and, thanks to our exams being on continuous days, I ended up messing up complete end-semesters. To all my friends, never start watching seasons of any TV show within a month of any exam coming up.
Anyways, no point cribbing over a damage done. So, the other side of it. How I Met Your Mother (or HIMYM) is an “awesome” and “legen-wait for it-dary” show. It portrays the life of four New Yorkers (Ted, Marshall, Lily, Barney) and a Canadian (Robin) :D (you will get the joke in this once you have seen some episodes); Ted narrating the whole story to his children. These five are great friends, Marshall and Lily getting married in starting few episodes itself. It is a great story of how different kinds of people think differently about relationships and having fun with friends in general. I seriously recommend HIMYM to everyone (Statutory Warning: I am not responsible for any decrement in academics, and you are welcome, in case it is otherwise). However, one thing is sure, ANYONE will end up loving it!
So taking lessons, I started watching Heroes right from the beginning of this semester, though at a slower pace. Even this is a good show, except that it is not addictive… The idea and story are great, but it becomes a drag at times. It involves an evolved form of human species where some normal people start discovering that they have different superpowers (such as self-regeneration, breaking space-time continuum, reading thoughts, absorbing others’ powers, etc.). One of them turns a villain about to blow up the city with radiation and others need to stop him. That’s a basic idea of as far as I have seen till now…
And yeah, one more thing, suggestions for a swanky blog title? Please mail directly…
Well, now I have lots of things running in my mind, but I will stop this post here or else I will keep going on. Will return soon.
